Have You Reached the End of Your Endurance?

enduranceEver question how much more endurance can be expected of you? Shelly shares.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (Colossians 2:6-7).

Oh, how many times have I said, “This is it. I can’t take it anymore”?

Countless. Each time I was certain.

I’ve come to understand that I am not a very good judge of actual limits. I believe that’s because Christ takes up where I leave off. Each and every time.

Are you at the end of your endurance? Can you not take one more disappointment, or pain, or betrayal of your own body?

May I encourage you today, as I myself have been encouraged many times?

Continue to live your life in Him. Be rooted in His faithfulness and built up in His goodness. Be strengthened in the faith as you were taught. Overflow with thankfulness.
Please trust that Christ will fill in your empty places.

He will supply whatever you need over and over again.

Maybe it’s time to lay it down for a while. Give over to the Lover of your soul.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, no matter what my week is like. Please help me to lay myself down at Your feet and allow You to take over. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Are you depending on your own strength and judgment to make it through till tomorrow? Will you lay it on Jesus today?

This is the song, “The Hurt and the Healer” by MercyMe and Shelly wanted to share it with you. We’ve shared it before, but this song has special lyrics that could easily be our theme song here at Rest Ministries so I hope you will take a moment to listen and be assured of how much God loves you. Sometimes all you can do is breathe… and yes, those are some of the lyrics. Hugs, -Lisa
