Are You Living in 3-D or Has Life Fallen Flat?

3DLife with chronic illness can easily feel flattened, gray, joyless, but thankfully we serve a God who can transform our life into a masterpiece. Shelly shares.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).

God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus. . . to do good works. Wow.

The New Living Translation puts it this way:

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

You are already a masterpiece.

Do you hear what I’m saying? Do you hear what God is saying?

A masterpiece. Already. Just as you are.

Those shadowed places you’re trying so hard to erase? Those lend depth to your sketch.

Those blemishes and scars you’re trying desperately to disguise? Those add character to your sculpt.

Those dark marks you wish were only surface deep? Those give definition and contrast to your painting.

Those watermarks made by tears that tempt you to just scrap the whole piece and start over? Those are your signature trademark, what sets your photo apart.

We live in 3-D. Without these struggles, we fall a bit flat.

And you, dear one? You are a brilliant beauty. You are the pièce de résistance in God’s gala.

You are, right this moment, doing the good works God prepared in advance for you to do.

And it takes my breath away.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the way you always display us in the best possible light, the light of Your love and purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Are your ready to get up and rock a bit? Seriously, this is a great song that Shelly thought you would like. It is “We Shine” with Stellar Kart and it speaks of how we need to rise up and show the world that we love God and He provides us with everything we need. I love it! I can see myself listening to this in the car with the windows down and remembering the freedom I have through Christ! -Lisa
