God Says, “I Have Loved You With An Everlasting Love” Despite Your Pain

“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Ever feel unloved? People making you sad or angry? Are you sick of selfish ambitions? Go to God. He loves us deeply and forever, and is unfailingly kind.

Most of us, I believe, have not experienced this kind of love and kindness in life. At least I haven’t. We don’t know what it feels like, or even whether to trust it or not. I need an everlasting love. There is but One who can fulfill that perfectly, and that Person is Jesus.

“Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:13-14

So, not only does God love us deeply and forever, but He tells us what to do when we are suffering. That is a part of His love for us. He does not want us to suffer; therefore, He gives us these instructions.

Do we trust God? Can we hand our hearts up to Him? Can we finally learn to trust? I think we can! How can we avoid such a love? How can we say no to true love? Something some of us don’t yet understand!
Praise Him who is able to do more than we can ask or even imagine!

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for loving us so. Let us learn to love the way You do. Let there be unity in the Spirit, love for the brethren, and of course a deep love of you. Let us follow all the commandments in this: For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws, and love your neighbor as yourself. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
